Strength and Conditioning

Strength and Conditioning forms an important part of the programme. Players are screened at the start of the 10-week block and provided with an individual programme based on their specific results. Player workloads are monitored by our S&C team and weekly schedules designed to best support their individual needs.

The S&C programme aims to help players stay fit, manage the workloads associated with cricket at the top level and ensure players can consistently perform at their best. As with the skills aspect of the programme, players are encouraged to use the knowledge they have gained throughout their time with ICP to help them train efficiently in the future, stay injury free and in peak physical condition.

NUTRITION

Nutrition advice is readily available through the ICP’s Strength and Conditioning Team. Players are provided with information on how best to manage their diets both pre and post training, during competition and everyday life.
